So I should call DHS and try to have these kids removed from their new adopted parents’ house?  Cool, let’s talk about how that can go wrong.  

I already told you guys they live in a racist shit-hole of a town.  I should’ve probably mentioned they also live in an especially racist shit-hole area of a racist shit-hole state.  If DHS removes them from the home they’re in now (reminder:  they’re with a stable family now, able to keep their old friends, and are no longer subject of physical abuse), they’ll go into that state’s foster system.  Which is abysmal, under-funded, and ignores nearly all the extreme number of abuse complaints they receive.  They’ll be, in short, thrown into a worse place.  

I mean, yeah, it’s fucked up what happened, and fucked up that she thought it was cute.  But goddamit, if you think running the risk of having these kids put in a situation that’s not only what it is now, but potentially violent as well, then you’re crazy.  That’s an insane risk.  

It’s really easy to be an internet crusader and tell people what they should or shouldn’t do and imply that they’re implicit in the problem.  Think on that, Anonymous.
