You know how you guys hate-follow or hate-read certain Tumblrs? Well, I hate-do that to people I went to high school with on Facebook. One woman is a true gem of a person on whose profile I have seen the following:

A status update about asking people if it was immoral to, I guess, game the system when it came to the free school supplies a local community group provides, and asking people about how to increase the amount of food subsidy her family receives. It was followed immediately by a post about how she hates that her taxes go to support poor people who don’t have jobs. You guys know I love the ever-living-shit out of social programs, so I’m just really stoked that her family is receiving some assistance. But fuck. You can’t be both of these people. You can’t receive aid and then be fucking angry that other people do, too.
A post advertising Girl Scouts cookies for sale, immediately followed by an all-caps anti-choice post about how everyone should buy the local paper to see where all that mad Girl Scout Cookie Cash goes. Because it goes to Planned Parenthood, AKA the Abortionplex.
A number of posts containing rather bizarre theories on elementary education.
A bunch of stuff about “CHRISTmas”.

And that’s all pretty annoying, but whatever, because she and her huzzo seem like decent people who just want to do right by their kids and community. Hell, they even adopted a couple of kids from nearby who were having some super family issues and needed a safe place and some people to take care of them. What a cool thing to do, right?!

So today I mosey on over and see that the little adopted girl wanted to see her real family, so this woman decides to “show her a picture of her real mom”, which was a picture of a chimpanzee. I say to myself “for the love of god, I hope that these kids are not black”.

The kids are black. She is telling them their parents are monkeys.

I don’t even.
